Voting for the YMCA Branch Naming Contest is now closed. The final name for the new YMCA branch will be presented soon based upon the name that receives highest number of votes. The winner selected from the group that has the highest number of votes will receive a FREE YMCA membership.

The Mechanicsville-area Y Branch is opening in November 2011. The all new 10,295 square foot facility will offer programs for families and individuals of all ages.

Comfortable, accessible locker rooms, a group exercise studio and wellness area featuring state-of-the-art fitness equipment will allow members to pursue healthy lifestyles, a child watch area will ensure young members have a safe and fun environment to play and make neighborhood friends.

Multi-purpose space will make intergenerational programs available and provide the community's residents with an area to gather for events and activities. The YMCA of Greater Richmond Board of Directors will announce the selected name in late May.
