Aquatic fitness, or water aerobics, classes are extremely popular due to the great health benefits the zero-impact exercise provides. Participants ages 15 and up can improve their cardiovascular fitness, muscular conditioning and flexibility with a variety of aquatic fitness classes.  For a current aquatic schedule, please visit our schedules page.

AQUA MOTION
If you are just beginning to exercise or recovering from an injury, this class could be for you. Your flexibility, endurance, and strength will be increased through basic stretching, aerobic traveling, and resistive moves.

AQUACISE
This moderate intensity class uses the water's natural resistance to increase heart rate and tone muscles. The components of this class provide a warm up followed by a combination of stretching, aerobic, strengthen, and cool down segments.

DEEP WATER
A great cardio class in deep water. Participants use floatation devices to provide an intense aerobic and strength training workout.

AQUA ARTHRITIS
A class developed by the YMCA that provides gentle range of motion and toning exercises for participants with arthritis or similar joint limitations. The class is taught by an Arthritis Foundation certified instructor.

AQUA SCULPT
Get ready for an upper and lower body workout. The focal point of this class is on muscular strength throughout the body, which includes abdominal and lower back work.
