Wellness means engaging in attitudes and behaviors that enhance quality of life and maximize personal potential. Overall wellness balances regular exercise, proper nutrition and an awareness of the stress and stressors in your life and methods to cope with them. YMCA wellness programs address these methods and allow members to reach their personal goals.

The following is a list of services provided to you as part of your membership: 

  • Access to knowledgeable staff members who will help you track your workouts to meet your fitness goals.
  • We will meet with you up to three times to get you started on a workout program and we will provide you with a baseline fitness assessment, measuring your height, weight, BMI, percent body fat, resting heart rate and blood pressure.
  • Once you know your baseline numbers, you can check back in with us to track your progress.
  • We will provide an orientation to the fitness facility for our younger members ages 9 to 14 at no charge.  Our trained staff will customize a plan for your child based upon their size, strength, and maturity.
  • We offer over 25 group exercise classes per week ranging from beginner to intermediate and advanced with a variety of certified instructors and a wide range of formats.
  • In 2010, we will add an inner and outer thigh strength training piece to our circuit, a rowing machine, and a linear free weight leg press.
  • In Summer, 2010, we will upgrade our group exercise indoor cycling bikes.
